Ériu’s unique production of Salomé is a dance and Irish language interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s classic. Visually compelling, the show addresses the brutality of evilness through the voice, body, and music, which are seamlessly united, each inciting and arousing the other.
The show explores power and weakness, greed and lust, and is at once a beautiful and terrifying commentary on the vulnerability of the human condition.
Salómae was choreographed by Breandán de Gallaí, and is set to an original soundtrack composed by Fiachra Ó Corragáin. Joe O’Byrne co-directed the work with Breandán.
